Climate
Spain's national weather agency, AEMET, describes climate with Köppen-Geiger classes (for example Csa, a hot-summer Mediterranean climate). A class describes the year's pattern of temperature and rain, not how cold winter gets.
How it differs
- Two lists of invasive species apply together: the European Union's list and Spain's own national catalogue, which is longer.
- Some plants are listed as invasive only in the Canary Islands, not on the mainland or the Balearic Islands.
If someone may be poisoned
If someone has collapsed, cannot be woken, is having a seizure or has trouble breathing, call your local emergency number now. We do not have poison control information for Spain yet.
Plant rules
Plant-sale and invasive-species rules vary by location and change over time. Check your local rules before buying or planting.
