Look-alike warning

Could be mistaken for Other plants with a similar name or look. To tell them apart: Match on the scientific name, Vernonia greggii A. Gray (Flora del Bajio and Kew WCVP agree; the Celaya list spells it "greggi"), not on the common name.. The Celaya list names it "Pincel grande" in its contents and "Pincel" on its species page, and the very next page of that list is "Pincel chico", a different plant (Ageratum houstonianum). The common name "pincel" is therefore ambiguous. Flora del Bajio describes two varieties (Turner 1988) or four subspecies (Chapman and Jones 1978); the source does not say which.

Poison control

If someone has collapsed, cannot be woken, is having a seizure or has trouble breathing, call 911 now. For any other possible poisoning, call Poison Help: 1-800-222-1222.
